While these Vintage “Objects” available for purchase are neither designed nor fabricated by myself, they do represent a certain aesthetic that is reflected in my own ‘Retro-Art Deco’ furniture & cutlery. Both their design and utility are examples of the ‘Golden Age’ of streamlined consumer goods in the 1930’s & 1940’s, exemplified by industrial designers like Raymond Loewy, Worthen Paxton, Norman Bell-Geddes, John Morgan and others. Some of the objects here were engineered by employees of larger companies like Sears Roebuck, ‘…laboring in obscurity’, but whose names are lost to us today.
I pass these on not just as fully functioning ‘Lifestyle Accessories’, but as specific examples of my own credo:
Well designed, useful objects of enduring Beauty
